Categorized under Tourist Visa or Privilege Entry (PE) Visa, Thailand Elite Visa is a long-term visa that allows residency in Thailand for a set period of time, often with the option to renew the visa.
The program is currently managed by the Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited. It was introduced in 2003 by the country’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports with the goal to support both public and private sectors and help foster the growth of the Thai economy by attracting affluent visitors and business people to stay in the country long-term.
Depending on different packages and elite membership programs, the Visa holders are provided benefits for leisure, business, health and wellness, and immigration – all of this on top of the residency and access to live in the country.
Overall Privileges
Aside from a 5-year renewable multiple entry visa with an extendable 1-year length of stay per each entry, the Visa holder can also stay in Thailand without the hassle of the usual requirement to leave the country every 90 days or do visa runs as with the other visa types.
Thailand Elite Visa members can also enjoy VIP greetings and escort on arrival and departure at the airport, airport pick-up services, access to the exclusive fast track immigration and passport control, airport lounges, and visa assistance.
The membership benefits also extend to leisure and business, including complimentary round-trip limousine for selected programs and government concierge services for business networking.
Visa holders also have access to golf club memberships and get exclusive discounts on a wide range of high-end services in Thailand. These services include spas, resorts, hospitals, and medical facilities across our country.
There are also special discounts at selected partners such as duty-free shops, shopping malls, hotels, and restaurants.
Membership Programs & Fees
There are 7 membership programs available for the Thai Elite Visa, each varying in validity, benefits, and cost.

- Membership validity of 20 years
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years and renewable for another 5 years
- Costs 2.14 million THB with an annual fee of 21,400 THB
- Members must be over 20 years old
- Elite Easy Access
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years
- Costs 600,000 THB with no annual fee
- Option to upgrade to Elite Ultimate Privilege
- No age restriction; members can be any age
- Elite Family Excursion (minimum 2 persons)
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years
- Costs 800,000 THB with no annual fee
- A fee of 300,000 THB for every additional family member
- Elite Family Alternative
- Membership validity of 10 years
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years and renewable for another 5 years
- Costs 800,000 THB with no annual fee
- A fee of 700,000 THB for every additional family member
- Elite Privilege Access
- Membership validity of 10 years
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years and renewable for another 5 years
- Costs 1,000,000 THB with no annual fee
- A fee of 800,000 THB for every additional family member
- No age restriction; members can be of any age
- Elite Superiority Extension
- Membership validity of 20 years
- Thai Elite Visa validity of 5 years and renewable for another 5 years
- Costs 1 million THB with no annual fee
- Elite Family Premium
- Applicable only to family members of Elite Ultimate Privilege members
- Membership fee of 1 million THB with an annual fee of 10,000 THB
- Membership and Thai Elite Visa validity will be based on the membership and visa validity of the Elite Ultimate Privilege family member
- Visa is renewable after 5 years
Requirements
Visitors can apply for the Thailand Elite Visa whether they are in Thailand or abroad, granted they fulfill the following qualifications:
- holder of a foreign passport,
- has been allowed to stay in Thailand in accordance with the immigration laws,
- has not been sentenced by a judgment to imprisonment in any countries,
- has not been adjudicated bankrupt, and
- has not been declared as a person of unsound mind, incompetence, or quasi-incompetence.
No age limit is required for this program aside from the Elite Ultimate Privilege, which requires the applicant to be at least 20 years old.
Applicants who are interested will first have to reach out to a Thai Elite Visa agent who will work with the Thailand Elite Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Bureau to do a background check. The application for the Thai Elite Privilege Card membership may take 3 weeks to 2 months depending on the nationality of the applicant.
Once the applicant has passed the background check and has settled the membership fee, they can finally enjoy the exclusive, first-class benefits of the Thailand Elite Visa and make the most out of their visit.
